I stood there receiving my award among the 100 Persons of the Year 2025, I whispered, “Thank You, Jesus.”

Because only God knows the pages of this journey …..over a decade of hustle, creativity, silent tears, stubborn resilience, and grace.

I have always been that girl with a stubborn spirit…
but instead of letting it break me, God taught me how to channel it.
When I fix my eyes on a goal, I don’t stop until I touch it.
That same stubbornness became my strength.

I remember COVID-19 like yesterday.
Shops were locked. Businesses went silent. The world felt uncertain.
But in the middle of that stillness, God whispered a vision.
Before the lockdown even began, I had travelled to produce my double-sided blankets.
And while many were confused, I was cashing out at home …. marketing day and night, and birthing a brand the world now knows as @kinkihomes.

That year, God turned uncertainty into innovation.

Giving up? It has NEVER been an option.
Every hardship has birthed something new.
Every challenge has pushed me forward.

Then came motherhood… and as an interior designer, pregnancy made site visits difficult.
I’m a perfectionist; I don’t easily trust people with my vision.
So instead of quitting, I shifted.
I paused certain projects and focused on what people could take home ….
furniture, accessories, rugs, blankets… and the brand only grew louder.

KINKI was born from a smartphone.
No capital.
Just a vision.
Just stubborn faith.
Just resilience.

My journey began with Kinki Interiors, the very first brand that birthed multiple brands.
Then came @designsbykinki, where my creativity found wings.
And in the midst of a global pandemic, God gave me the idea that birthed @kinkihomes …a brand built from nothing but faith and determination.

This award is more than a plaque…
It is a reminder that God truly rewards consistency, obedience, and courage.
Today, I celebrate myself loudly because I have earned every brick of this journey.
And to every young girl watching my story:
Stay focused.
Be stubborn about your dreams.
Use what you have.
Your voice is powerful, and your ideas are valid.
When it is your time, God will call your name in rooms you never imagined.
This award reminds me that God is intentional, and nothing done with purpose and integrity ever goes unnoticed.
Here’s to more doors, more impact, and more global stages.
